Shedd Aquarium

Project

A two-part project for Shedd Aquarium's zebra shark conservation program — an informational brochure for visitors and a set of illustrations designed for merchandise sold to raise awareness and funding for the cause.

Brochure

An 8-panel double gate fold brochure documenting Shedd's involvement in conservation science, with a focus on the endangered zebra shark. Full page size 11 x 17 in, designed to function both as a double gate display and a roll-folded brochure for visitor distribution. Layout and typesetting were built in InDesign, with image preparation and compositing handled in Photoshop. The design had to balance dense conservation content with an approachable, visually engaging layout — the audience being general visitors, not scientists.

Merchandise Illustrations

Three original illustrations I created in Illustrator for two campaign initiatives — #keepsharksswimming and Help Shedd Save The Zebra Shark. Each illustration was designed to work across multiple merchandise formats including tote bags and hoodies, and at varying scales without losing detail. The zebra shark illustration was also paired directly with the Shedd logo for co-branded merchandise sold in the gift shop and online. Illustration work required careful attention to line weight and color so pieces could hold up in print production across different materials.
